Glee is infinitely less pretentious.

Fringe is astoundingly, astonishingly (my god I have run out of adverbs and assonance) bad.

Fringe has easily been my favorite Sci-Fi show of the last few years. I've watched every episode religiously since the beginning.

Is is Breaking Bad good? Not even. But it's easily been the best series in its genre since the X-Files. I'm sad to see it go.
All the good one's are ending.

House is gone, Weeds is over, now Fringe, Breaking Bad is wrapping this summer... Walking Dead is decent, but doesn't grip me the same. I wish Fringe could have had a couple more seasons, the writers definitely had the material to keep it going but just wasn't profitable enough for Fox. I guess it was pretty high budget to produce it in the first place from what I've read.

Oh.. and for the record. Glee sucks ass!

this. both universes are in 2030 something. since main universe was invaded by observers no more democracy here but life goes on in alt-verse. main verse lead characters got frozen in amber and so they are younger than their counterparts in alt-verse.

I don't understand the tulip.

tulip is a callback to season 2 when walter helps peter weller's character go back in time to be with his wife before she dies. it represents god forgiving walter for tearing the 2 universes a new hole and taking peter.

since walter is now an anomally like peter was at the start of season 4, he stopped existing in 2015. but since a part of him lingers in peoples memories the tulip is meant to remind them that walter did exist. if they remember then there is a chance they can find a way to bring him back in the same way peter intruded back into existence during season4.

basically the same as doctor who series 5 ep11 BigBang. it is meant to offer a ray of hope that walter isnt lost to peter and gang.

The alt universe was ahead of our technologically when we first encountered it back at the beginning of the series. It was said by Walter that they were "ahead" of our universe. In fact, I thought they actually asked about something that was happening in order to get an idea of what would happen when it happened here.

I just watched the finale. As with most series finalies it was a letdown and ended rather abrubtly even though this was all planned well ahead of time. Ahh well.

It was cool how they did touch back to the old stuff, like the U-verse, her powers and the items from the early year fringe events.

Personally, I think it would have been better if they'd have left Peter as an obvserver, and he sacrificed himself to save the world, rather than the "oh i'm an observer one moment" with no repercussions angle that they went. I think the addition of September being David was supposed to back that up, but it just didn't sit well with me.

I just wanted to add to what I said about the alt universe being ahead of ours. While it is ahead, Olivia in our universe was frozen in amber and season 5 takes place 20 years into our future as well.

First of all, if the observers had invaded in 2015, then their history would have been completely altered. They have essentially destroyed present day civilization so it is doubtful that in 2100 when the scientist was supposed to create the first type of observer, that this even would still have occurred.

But lets just assume then that somehow the observers would not cease to exist. Sending the boy into the future would not do any good because he would get sent to a future where the observers had invaded, not to the future of the original timeline.

Next if the observers cease to exist, then wouldn't walternate have saved peter in the alternate universe, leaving walter to never cross over?

Yep..pretty much what I thought, full of gaping holes, and not interdimensional ones...
