Wow. I am never eating eggs again.

Can you imagine cracking open an egg on a skilled and seeing this plop out?

Holy shit, i'm gonna barf.

Why the heck would that ever happen? Do you make it a habit of eating fertilized eggs?

Hell yeah! There's no point in eating an egg without potency.

Jeez, city boys! Life is... oh, life? It generally does include conception and death, both things that are aesthetically outside of our norm. Doesn't make it gross.

Sure, life includes conception and death. Doesn't mean I have to EAT part of it

meh, you don't have to eat life.
I'll just eat more life for you. But I prefer my life-to-be-consumed quite dead and cooked.

Uh...guys, eating vegetables/fruits is still eating life. So yes, you do have to eat life.

No, unless your supermarket is selling fertilized eggs...

not to add to aphex's fears, but it can and does happen that an egg will be bloody or even have a little bit of life starting. HOWEVER, it is extremely rare, and on most occasions, I do not believe such eggs were even fertilized. The event of a fertilized egg actually making it to the store is extremely rare, if that even happens. Like I said, I do know you may once in your life happen upon a bloody one, but iirc they were just bad eggs and not actually fertilized.

It has happened, years ago (decade?) I watched a TV news story about a woman who bought a dozen "regular eggs" and she cracked one open to find a half developed embryo. So she opened her oven, turned up the heat to 100°F and incubated the remaining eggs, rotating them several times per day untill they hatched. The TV camera showed some hatching in her oven.

That's actually happened to me before. Get over it, not everything comes pasteurized and wrapped in plastic.
