I am writing this on behalf of Petrusbroder - Peter, my husband. I am sorry to report, that he fell very ill the same day we returned to Sweden from our trip to Australia.
He has been in intensive care until late yesterday. Now it seems that he will survive, usually 50% of the infected do not ...
He has asked me to inform you about this and to explain why he has not been able to administer the race. He may return home early January.

Wow. I don't think I've been this shocked by a post since Dave McOwen's. That was apparently before Peter joined us, but he's likely to know what that means.

You can also tell him that, while no one could ever replace him, Biodoc has taken over administrating the race and is doing a good job. So, Peter, just focus on getting well, and we hope to see you back here soon!

It was a Hanta virus infection - he must have caught it just before we left for Australia. It resulted in a severe lung disease.
Peter was awake for one hour early this morning and 3 hours this afternoon. It has turned for the better.
