I have a final at 2pm today, and my remaining final will be on monday , tuesday, wednesday, so it leaves me only 2.5 days to review and study.

I need to minimize my sleep while maximizing my uptime while remaining productive. What is the best way to achieve this?

Please no meth...

review as much as you can, but dont expect to learn anything new. if you dont know it by now, you probably wont get it in 2.5 days. drink water before you sleep and survive on coffee and crack.

The only way to sustainably stay up for a long time is to keep active and do mild exercise every time you feel sleepy.

You might be better off just studying what you can and making sure to get enough rest. If you're tired, it's more likely you'll make dumb mistakes.

If you don't know how your body will perform in this circumstance already, good luck...don't be stupid and try 2 all-nighters with one night of rest in the middle...just limit your sleep and take naps throughout the day if you're just cramming hardcore. Usually I did 3-4 hours of sleep with 2 45 minute naps (after lunch and after dinner). I'm far more likely to retain information and tolerate that schedule if my body feels good.

NO ALL NIGHTERS. IF you're studying most of the day, say a good 12 hours already with a few breaks here and there, you should be doing damn well.

12 hours in the library. Throw in some meals here and there, make sure you take walks outside, and you're set. That's what I do.

FTW. Don't get any less then 8 hours of sleep a night. One thing that Psych100 taught me was that sleep reinforces memory. It's as vital to studying as learning the sh!t.

After an entire semester you either know it or you don't. Sleep deprivation will not help you. Do some light review, hit the parts you're shaky on and the rest will follow.

1 hour nap every 4 hours awake. Been giving this advice to those who cram like you do my entire college career. Of course, I always suggest NOT cramming and getting a good night's rest every night, but people live differently so what can I do.

Best to sleep right after you eat something, so it will ease you into sleeping. It's not healthy, but then again what you're doing is already destructive. Try to drink juices or caffine free soda, water would be better. Stay away from coffee, tea, milk-tea, ice cream shakes, or anything else overly caffinated or creamy.

Stay away from medications, especially caffine pills or sleeping pills. They'll just make you loose focus and you won't retain anything.

Study in a comfortable sofa or chair, try not to study on your bed. You might doze off or start wandering, since we usually think when we lay down in bed at night and stare at the ceiling, so that might happen to you if you accidently drift off for a moment.

Cramming is for procrastinators. Dumb asses. There will be plenty of time to party later.

I always hated back to back finals etc. I really wish their was a rule in place when I was in college that allowed finals every other day only.

I just got through finals myself, with lots of assignments due during the midst of it. Likely my worst semester so far in terms of workload. I pulled many all nighters the past 2 weeks and/or slept erratically with 2 hours of sleep here or there.

My advice is not to do it. Get some solid sleep (I wouldn't go less than 6 hours a day). While going 24-30 hours without sleep isn't a difficult stretch, a whole 2.5 days will be highly unproductive.

ie you'll benefit much more from 8 hours sleep, 12-16 hours cram per day vs. 2 hours sleep, 22 hours cram or something insane.

Finals? I haven't even had midterms yet.

As one person said, sleep reinforces memory, you need sleep in order for your brain to process and store the information.

Staying up for 2 days is no problem, but I find that the time lost in recovery is greater than the time I gained from lack of sleep.

learn how to spell.

Getting little sleep will guarantee that you will get crappy final grades. You need sleep to function.
