Must be a price mistake or something, these things list for $768, even the 250 lists for $316.

I think these guys have an ebay store by the same name, it has good ratings, but there website isnt even on resellerratings.

I did play the guinea pig and register on their site, seems legit at least, and the coupon did apply, but i didnt go ahead and buy since i have no use for a 940 chip and no time to mess with selling one right now.

There is also a asus 7900gt on oc.com's front page for $275, seemed $25 cheaper than AT RTPE showed.

Im not providing a link right now, because i dont actually know if this post breaks rules or not since there are coupons involved, but i think they are ok since they are publicly available right?

hm.. kind of nice... individually these chips are not such a big deal.. 2.4ghz 1mb cache... but if you have need for an 8-way server this would be a hot deal.

isnt the 4000+ a 2.4ghz 1mb chip? it sells for over $300 also, only downer keeping from being a smoking deal is this being a 940 chip, but i think they could be great for the dually opteron guys.

I purchased an Asus 7900GT TOP from etoys4less off eBay. I paid right after the auction. they charged me $25 for shipping, which I thought was high, but that it would be alright if I got the card soon. I won the auction on Sat. night and paid right away. They sent me tracking Sun. afternoon, USPS Priority 2-3 day indicating that they would ship first thing Mon. morning. Wed. came around and no card... I waited until Thurs. just to give them the benefit of the doubt. I emailed them and they told me they did not ship until Thurs. After about 30 some odd emails and about 5 different answers from them. (yes, not a trustworthy company, they lied more than once about when they shipped) I did eventually get my card 11 days later! I asked for a shipping refund and they refused. I left them negative feedback saying they lied about shipping, and it took them 11 days to get me the card. They left me negative feedback just to retaliate.


etoys4less is not a good company. They are very unprofessional.

soloz2, thank you very much for the heads up. I'm always tempted by price but you've given me another example of why I will not buy from anywhere but newegg or monarch. Those situations are so incredibly infuriating.

(i did not forget ZZF, i have had MAJOR RMA/refund problems with them on two occasions. they do not answer their phones or return phonecalls, refund took nearly 2.5 months for a product they never shipped ... just a warning to my fellow AT'ers)

no problem. I mean, I did get a good deal on the card. This wasa few weeks ago when most stores didnot have any 7900GT's in stock so the prices were rising, and i did get an Asus TOP version for 290 shipped, which was about 75 less than newegg. I would have liked an evga or an xfx, but for the price at the time it couldn't be beat. I just wanted to let everyone know that I did have quite a bit of trouble with them.

I have had good experence with many other eBay'ers though. And I too have had good luck with Newegg and Monarch. I have also had good experiences with ZZF, jab-tech, frozencpu, sidewindercomputers, svc, and xoxide but Tigerdirect I have had bad experience with.

It just goes to show that almost all companies can't make everyone happy. But, I agree with going with companies whom you have had good experience with!

That is by far the STUPIDEST negative comment I've ever seen. They're basically saying "We couldn't provide your item when we promised, so you get negative feedback." This is an incredibly sh!tty and childish company.

Which parcel post from california to new york... 11 days doesn't seem that bad to me, plus he did put $25 shipping in 2 places in his auction description...

I think you should start reading the descriptions more carefully before buying.

Yes I agree if they didnt ship until wednesday but said they would monday that is bs, but that is about it.

no, I read that fully before I purchased and was fine with$25 shipping. My problem was in the fact that etoys4less sent me emails promising USPS Priority 2-3 day. In fact that is the shipping method they used, they just lied repeatedly about when the they actually shipped. That is where I got 2-3 day from and why I have a valid statement.

The amount of money for shipping was not where my problem was. my problem was with the amount of time and the changing story etoys4less gave me

when they give you tracking that says 2-3 day you should be able to trust that, and most eBayers will ship right away. Sadly, its the few bad apples that give everyone the bad rep.

The same thing happens on forums. most people are honest and want to have a good deal go through,but a few people try to ruin it for the rest of us!

Not that I have any particular affinity for etoyz, but here is some positive data:

I received my processors on Friday after ordering Tuesday via USPS. Shipped to IL in just a few days. These are bare processors, but the serial numbers are just 3 apart. I'll be testing them today or sometime next week. If they test ok, this is an awesome deal even for OEM processors.

I had to reinstall Windows to get the 850's to work on my Tiger K8W. Other than that, these thigns rock. i am happy to be in the rather exclusive dual processor, 2.4 GHz+ Home Theater PC club (perhaps the only retarded memeber of that group).

These are single core only, I believe. Dual core is the 185 series.
