Nearly all cpu/mobo combos at Frys are limit 1 per customer. I'd assume this is limit 1 per customer too.

Hey the Duron1.6 /MB combo is on the Mercury News advertisement on the 1st few pages. It's a hassle but you just have to look carefully. I'll see what scraps are left when I can get over to the Fremont Frys on Sunday :wine:

I was at the SAC store around 1:00 PM and bought the combo and they still had plenty left although they were selling quickly. Also if anyone is looking for a decent cheap case for this, FRY's had a Enermax CS-307 for like $45.00. They had them on display and it looked very nice. I picked one up even though it only has a 300 watt power supply. Can everyone please post there experiences on this motherboard AFTER they install it? It could help others who may have problems especially in light of rumors of high DOA and failure rates.

i bought this combo last month, and so far the mobo has been running fine. i actually just picked up another one today.

the only thing that isn't on the mobo that would be nice is Vcore adjustment. you can only adjust FSB. at stock voltage the chip i picked up only goes to 1776 even though its B-stepping.

Well I can tell you that the Houston, TX Fry's still have several of these combos left cause the salepeople are using scare tactics to get customers to buy the more expensive combos. They said that the combo wont even run WinXP much less play any lastest games. Well I didnt believe them and I bought it anyway. I just started to build the PC together and the scare tactics are started wear my confidence down. I just would like to know if there any shread of truth to this or it just all bullhockeys?

Just got my combo at the Houston's Fry's. There was a line though. I didn't have to wait more than 10 mins though. They would ring it up and you take your price quote to the register and they will pull the merchandise. I wanted two sticks of the 256mb DDR3200 ram to go in my Dell 400sc server though. I'll stick this one in and see if it will boot. If it does, I may need to go back and see if I can snag another stick.

How do you guys buy two when the limits one per customer? Dont they track everything via their computers?
