Fry's 512 pc133 for 150

sounds really cheap. has anyone bought ram from frys before? is it any good?

up until a few years ago i used to buy fry's ram. most of the sticks worked like they should have, some didn't. i returned/exchanged the ones that didn't. they worked fine in cheap, non-overclocked systems, but in the end i wouldn't recommend fry's oem memory. working with malfunctioning memory is just a pain.

like pbrain I used to buy ram from Frys when I wasn building computer back in the days. Now with with discovery of crucial and muskin I don;t anymore. However, all the ram I did buy from them I never had problem with it. it wasn't like I bought alot but I bought 3 or so sticks of SDram and 6+ sticks of simms and they all worked.

I've actually had no problems with Fry's memory, but I once returned a 128M stick because all the chips were marked "PC133" instead of with the chip maker's markings. That's a sign that the chips are of mixed brands (not a drawback) or even used (a drawback).

Don't Buy Fry's Onsale Memory, I got screwed twice, they are unreliable and give me random crashes every 30mins.

Guess why are they onsale? They simply have a sale on too much memory that people return that doesn't work.

im guessing that this 512 stick is prolly some weird configuration that most mobos wont recognize and thats why its on sale, cause so few people can actually use it
