just got a heads up from a dood that said tomarrow fry's will be having an Anniversary Sale. dood said line starts forming at 7:30 and it opens at 8. can anyone confirm this or is it just for san diego fry's. i justed called fry's and they have confirmed this

you should wait then. nobody told you to go camp out at fry's all night. it's a heads up, sheesh. it means "keep your eye out"

from experience fry's big sales are usually pretty good. Lots of leader items but they are worth it if you can get one.

Yesterday (May 14th) Fry's had an Anniversary Sale-A-Bration ad in the LA Times (back page of the Business section). LA Times website doesn't have their ad up anymore.

Here's a couple of the things people might be interested in.

Anyone know Fry's policy about returns without receipt?

It seems that this could be a HOT DEAL! $159 is a "reasonable" price for a P4-2.4-533 CPU.
Though this one is BARE (Boxed 2.4-533s typically around $160), its almost like getting a
free motherboard (and the ECS is probably worth every penny)


If you can return JUST the MB from this combo, even if just for store credit ( ~ $50-60 ?),
it seems like you'd walk away with a P4 processor pretty cheap!

YO!!!! Read his post. He's asking if you can return the MB *****WITHOUT***** a receipt. Hence, they'll never know if it's part of a MB/CPU combo. I don't think they'll take it though. You gotta have a receipt.

Oh yeah, get there earlier for those hot dogs and sodas. Everytime I've tried to get in on that 25 cent special, they've been OOS.

And if you tell them you paid for by CC, they can just punch up you CC number for any recent purchase. Unlike many retail store Fry's is bitch to return w/o a receipt. Of course it never hurts to try.
