Side note on Fry's: not all Fry's locations offer the same motherboard/CPU deals at the same time. Such as a recent i7 860/Gigabyte P55A combo for $199, (~$130 less than Newegg). Was advertised in the San Jose, CA paper, but was unavailable at the Fishers, IN store (Indianapolis area).

Eh.. they usually only have a very limited supply of the MOBO's they advertise with these teaser combo's anyway. Gotta nearly be there when the doors open to get them. I just happened to do that for this deal today. There were exactly 2 motherboards on the shelf and they were not identified on the shelf like the other boards.

i've heard it totally depends on the frys you go to as far as availability.

the silicon valley ones, unless you are there the day (or well probably the morning) of any combo deal you are hosed.

i've heard the frys in san diego has tons of stock all the time.
