Fry's CPU/Mobo Combo deals for 1/7/05-1/11/05

Hey, about the $40 1.6GHZ Duron, what FSB ram would I need? I didn't see Duron on AMD's website anymore. Would like to put yet another combo together for a dedicated MAME machine.

I'm planning to get this combo (a643200+ecs mobo). I also need to get memory. Is it worth getting a dual channel memory for this combo ?

rameshms, ECS 755-A2 like all 754motherboards is single channel. You can still put up to two dimms on the board.(2GB total)

No. That deal was not for a P4-540 3.2ghz, but a P4 3.2ghz. RECOGNIZE ESSAY!

I took the 3.2E w/ECS deal. Didn't even bother to open the ECS mobo. I just used an Abit IC7 I've had during 2.4C period. Anyhow, my cpu is doing 3.9ghz@1.35V. Max load temp is 59C with a Zalman 7000B-CU.

PC 2100 memory. It's a 266 FSB CPU. 1.6 GHz Duron

Man stop hating ECS... I'm running a 2500 XP at 3200 speeds on a ECS MOBO right now 100% Stable at FSB of 193.......... you can set the FSB amd the MOBO is a cool purple PCB.................. I like ECS....

just ordered this off outpost. i read plenty of reviews on this board and it performed very well.. i'm not all that worried about overclocking at this time.. i'll use the standard speed for a while.. Thanks for the post guys..
