Wow, talk about interesting news. I always wondered if we'd ever see a FRY's out here. Actually, I used to work at the Best Buy and CompUSA over there back when I was 16 (going on 23 in June). Now I just live about 15 miles away. Anyways, thanks for the info!

Frys is definately a love-hate thing. All you guys hear about is some good deals, and yes, they do have good deals. But wait til you have to return something. And trust me, you will have to return something, and all the good feelings and happiness drain away quickly when you have to return something to frys. Dont say you havent been warned.

If you read the article pasted into the first post you would find the answer is no. They will be open for Christmas Season (~November 25th at the latest).

I assume the 144,000 foot retail center is not all fry's. That would be cool! 150k sq foot of electical parts!

our fry's(city of industry, cali) will fit 4 best buys inside. but, has a parking lot equal to 1 best buy, never shop on the weekends.

Fry's doesn't hire much (actually none at all) part timers as workers. They want people to work full time and promote within the company. The best time to get a job is about 1 month before Grand Opening. However, be aware that you will be working long LONG Grand Opening hours. I worked 7 days a week, 14 hours a day helping to get City of Industry's Fry's up.

A small portion of that space is dedicated to back stock and receiving department. Other than that all the available space is dedicated to product displays.




It might be a while since the Chicago store opens. Fry's just finished opening Fry's in City of Industry and is focusing it's plans on it's newest store......Las Vegas

I used to work in the two buildings overlooking the soon to be Fry's (the Acxiom Corp.)
There was an article about them moving in their in the local papers at least 2 years ago.
I had given up on the idea though,
this is awesome news!!
