Fry's Grand Opening-Irving, Tx Only, 1 Day Sale

speechless.
I need to move to a Fry's friendly area.

Just got off the phone with my dad down in Tx, and according to him although there was a line to get in it took him no more than 15mins... plus, oddly enough, everything he's looked for is still in stock!

Fry's dots all the "i's" and crosses all the "t's" when it comes to a retail Grand Opening. And the other Fry's in the local area get in high gear when a new one opens. Extra staff, all drinking the special kool-aid, lots of stock, most ready for it's first trip out of the store, etc.

They revert within a week but it's nice while it lasts.

That would be sweet as hell I work at 190 and 75... I just don't know where they would put it around here....

You gotta be joking! West Plano and Frisco are crawling with geeks bearing cash (or plastic w/a high limit ). That would probably cut 5-8 miles off the drive they'd otherwise make to BB or CUSA.

But I second your emotion about building at that location. My wife will be very nervous now.

I loved Fry's when I was stationed in San Diego. I just wish they would expand faster. Every time I went home on leave to middle Illinois I was always shocked by sky-high BB & CC prices. Now that I am stuck in good-ole backwoods Illinois with my son I am really missing that store. Anyone know if there are any Chicago stores in place or in planning? I would be willing to drive the 4 hours for a good "Fry's Flyer Weekend Trip." Ahhh well, here's to wishing...

Nobody mentioned the 50 pack of CDRs for $4.50.. I was going to go buy some and the $12 paper shreader that was FAR but the line in the Arlington store wrapped around the store almost twice going through every isle in the area containing the air filtraiton systems and such... I really wanted those cds too and now they are gone
