Woo hoo! Snagged the WD 120GB UDMA/100 hdd for $49.99 after $80 & $20 mir. Also the Maxtor 40GB UDMA/133 for $19.99 after $40 mir. BTW the AMD XP 2000 + ECS K7S5A Pro mb combo for $59.99 does not include heatsink. They were ready this time for the crush. Lots in stock (except maybe the WD 120GB), checkout was a breeze! Checkoout was not so easy at the new store in Irving - the line went through all the aisles in the networking section, and then around the entire outer wall of the store (65 minutes). The line to get in was about .25 miles to get in the store when I left at about 11:00. I picked up the free AR DVD drive, CD Burner, 256 DDR2100 memory, and the $49 AR WD 120G drive - they had tons of stock of everything that I saw.

Randy Fry (I assume that's "Mister Fry") was politely pointing people to the correct lines.

Word has it that they're also building another Fry's in Plano off 75 and 190 in north Dallas. Betcha that'll pull in mucho traffic considering the telecom corridor right down the highway.

Just got off the phone with my dad down in Tx, and according to him although there was a line to get in it took him no more than 15mins...

plus, oddly enough, everything he's looked for is still in stock! i made him grab that case and cpu/mobo combo, as well as some other junk ... wished i had an excuse to make him buy that 256mb ddr, but i have way too much sitting around as it is.

No fry's in Ohio. I have a cousin that lives in Texas that said she would pick me up something. From what I have read about Fry's reselling motherboards that don't work that keeps me from taking her up on it. By the time I pay shipping a couple of times I can buy a quality one from Newegg if you know what I mean.

These are some excellent deals. I may be making a phone call yet.

You don't have to worry about that unless they have the frys sticker on them and since this store was new I did not see a one with the sticker on them.
