Fry's Intel E8400 $139.99

Hey guys, I didn't see this one posted yet.
I just got the Fry's email and this was in it.
The email has the price @ 139.99. However when you click the link it shows up online @ 149.99

E8400@Frys.com

I called Frys.com's customer service and spoke with a CSR. I asked him about the pricing. He said it is indeed $139.99 in the email, but that the website had the wrong price listed. He said it wouldn't be fixed on the website until tomorrow at the soonest, and maybe not until Monday.
He did say that he can place an order over the phone at the $139.99 price though if anyone is interested. The number is 1-877-688-7678 if anyone is interested.


I know there were mobo deals for this chip for 150 recently, but this is about the best price I have seen lately though.
The lowest pricegrabber has is 169 @ newegg.

i KNOW it shows A BOX, but who knows for sure thats what youll get

I guess you really don't know if it is retail or not since the description is pretty much empty. They do also have a bare CPU when you search for E8400 on the site. It is sold out at 169.99. Of course that doesn't mean this one is OEM too, but it would be a pretty shady practice for them to show the retail box in the listing and then send you an OEM chip with no cooler.

It's retail as I was just in the store 30 mins ago and checked. Unless it says oem in the ad, 99% of the time it's retail.

got my e8400 today its the newer version
