i'm tired of these slow-ass 7200RPM SATA hard drives...

when are 10000RPM 16MB cache hard drives with 200GB capacity gonna be here?

Pfffttt... 10K drives are barely any faster than 7200 rpm drives.
Pretty much the same thing as going from ATA 100 to ATA 133...and while I am at it, SATA drives are barely faster (if at all) than PATA drives.
For speed RAID 0 is the way to go.
We need SATA II drives to see some real speed increases.
Or some nice SCSI drives, but I haven't seen SCSI drives on sale ever. lol

True... but I mean the SATA II specs that call for 600Mbytes/sec transfers

When was the last time you had a drive that came anywhere near the 150mb/s "called for" by SATA I?

Which is why I said that they are barely faster, if at all, than ATA100 or ATA133.
They have to crank up the RPMs, and have very high density platters, and do internal RAID 0 to come close to the 600MB/sec.

To make this deal hotter: Go to staples and have them do a 110% pricematch on Fry's. Then add a box of paperclips or something, and use coupon #69638 ($15 off $75). I paid $67.43 after taxes for this drive and a pen.
