would you get this sempron 3100+ for $159 or get the a64 3200+ for $199? (not valid this ad period) how's the 755-a2 o/c anyway?
I am curious about these mobos...will this handle a 250 gig drive directly off the IDE channel or do you still need to install a ATA card. Thanks

ECS.
Very cheap boards, almost cheap enough to use as land fill. I picked one up for my kids computer, and the sales person at Fry's said "you know theese boards have a lot of problems?" Swear to god it's true.

lol... they always do that at frys.. try to act like you are making a bad choice in buying the combo they advertise..and offer some way more expensive combo. ive built 6 systems using frys ecs combos in the last 5 months... not one came DOA and they are all still working today, perfectly stable. have you ever even used a ecs board?

I look at it this way.
If you need something that's as cheep as can be for some gaming. The $160 CPU Motherboard combo can handle any current game thrown at it. The $40 saved will make a bigger differance in performance if added to the video card or memory.
