Ok,
I have a question. I have a 1Ghz T-Bird B (200mhz bus) on an MSI K7T Turbo R. I'd like to run this at 266mhz bus but at 1Ghz. I did the pencil trick. I can change the multiplier. So I did this. I set my multiplier to 7.5 and rebooted. Cool beans it was running at 750mhz. Then I shut it down and set that jumper on the motherboard to 133mhz. I rebooted. Cool beans it worked. However. Once I cold-boot my computer it fails to post. Sometimes it just sits there after making my CD-ROM drives flash. Sometimes it's starts beeping alot. What I think is happening is that my computer is trying to default back to the 10X multiplier. How do I keep it from doing this? I'd like to be able to pack up this computer, chuck it in my truck, take it to a lan party, plug in and go. Can't do that it aint working about 75% of the time. I end up having to set it back to 100mhz bus and reset the bios for it to come back. Any suggestions? Anyone have a spare AXIA that could solve all my woes?
Thanks
