Fscking surveyors!!!!!

I just got home to find my yard covered in surveyors who were surveying it. My family is in a legal dispute with the builders of our townhouse, and for some reason the builders wanted to survey the land.

Nevermind the fact that my family owns the house, the land, and we have no shared land agreements with the fvckers. I told them to get the fsck off the property or I'd call the cops, got a lock out, and locked up my back yard.

If the developer wanted to survey the property - they had the ability to pick the phone up and ask me. :| Do they think they are above the law and can rightfully trespass? ARRRGGGG.

At first the guys were hesitant - they gave me some story about working for an architect. Just the fact that they didn't ask me pissed me off the most, they packed up their ****** and left. I made sure they saw me put the lock on the fence.

I told the guy my house was already fscking built and that neither they or the architect they worked for needed to be on my property.

The city caught the problem after we had already bought, and put a freeze on the rest of the property until the builder could work something out with us, getting us to join a Condo Association. They've got two other townhouses that have been vacant for almost a year now because of their fsckup.

We've offered them a buyback option for our house, but only at fair market value (property values are skyrocketing in Florida). well you explicitly invite those people onto your property. I wouldn't be to ahppy if I came home and had a gagle of unknown people milling about my property. As with theOP I think I could be accomodating if permission is asked.

We've already had meetings with some city commissioners on the matter - they've basically backed the builders into a corner and told them thier only option is a buyback of the property - but if they don't want to pay fair price, then that's their problem.

The cookie doesn't go to me - I'm just renting the place from my parents.

I bet that someplace on the agreement you sign when you get gas and electric you give them permission to enter your property for that purpose. It is his property and he has every right to determine who has access to it.

Yep. I have no problem with the power company and water company reading my meters - it's part of the service they offer.

If you aren't home when your house catches on fire I sure hope the fire department knows they better wait on you to give them permission first....:roll:


My point was, you didn't need to be a d1ck about it. I would have been purterbed too, but I would have found the cheif of the crew and POLITELY asked him to cease work on my property. Those guys run into people like you all of the time, they're not looking to start a fight with you. Hell, if anything, that means they make more money because they will come back later and complete the job probably billing for it again.

Common courtesy seems to be a dying thing around here.
