FSP 450w and 8800gts 320mb

Will my Fortron 450w power supply be able run a 8800gts 320mb with an e6300 and 2gb of ram? Thanks for the help.

which fortron is it? AX450? If so, probably. I'd try it first before getting a new psu.

If you are talking about the AX450 then yes it has pkenty of power to support the card with it's 30A on the combined +12v rails. Though i prefear to have a PSU with 3 or more +12v rails or better yet a qualtiy Single railed PSU with about 28A or better on the +12v rail.

I didn't remember correctly and its only the AX400-PN so its I guess I'm going to need a new power supply. Thanks for the help.

My crappy NEO 480 ran my 8800GTX with an OC'd CPU, but it would not let me touch my vid card OC.

I will say I'm running the Antec True Power 2 450 (not a winner by most accounts) with a nearly identical setup. CPU, Memory, GPU overclocked to the tips and no power problems. You'll be fine.

I used that power supply to overclock a 640MB 8800GTS to 648/1998, so you should be fine. That was with an overclocked X2 processor.

There's a darn good chance your PSU is enough... that FSP is good and it's got decent 12V amps. I'd use it and see if you have any problems, instead of just running out and buying a new PSU.

My brother uses that power supply for his 8800GTS(stock speeds) and it runs fine with a Pentium 4.

You'll be fine with any reasonable amount of other components.
