50 pck of 24xcdr FujiFilm that are 24x rated and made in Japan..at least previous batches have been

Price is $15 before rebate ..after rebate is $9.94

I haven't had much luck with these at 24x.. they are actually their 16x media, now being branded with a sticker at 24x.

Worked ok at 20x, but 24x it was hit and miss.

I think they rebrand media all the time to make more money from it. The Imations for 8x work for both 12x and 16x. I tried them after getting a pack of 12x and 16x that looked the exact same after burning, and it worked. From my perspective, as long as the back of the cd is a really light greenish yellow, burn at whatever speed you want.

Has anyone tested other media at 24x, or this stuff to confirm it doesnt work well at 24x?

the deal was available 6 wks ago and I think it has been on /off several times in the last several months.. but I do not think they were $15 the entire 6wks...

Seems the expected price increase on cdr media is not happening which of course is good news...Ian@cdrlabs indicates they will not always burn at 24x..my drive is 12x so I can not comment on this....what others experience...

Ian is it drive dependent at all....

My post was actually a repost from another thread for Fuji's at Target.

I found out after I had posted and noted it on the thread so the likes of Muffy or Scruffy or Fluffy wouldn't stomp all over it.

I wonder what their statute of limitations is for duplicate posts. 7 years ?
