FujiFilm (Taiyo Yuden) 50pk. CD-R's $7.99 after rebate at OM

I saw these were posted in Tboo's thread titled OM deals for week... but just wanted to post this for others who might be looking for CD-R's and miss that thread. In store price is $17.99 - $10 MIR, bringing the cost to $7.99 each. There is a limit of 4 rebates, but if you got in on the Office Max deal a few weeks ago where they were $9.99 after MIR, I don't think you are eligible... (If you got 4 of them like I did). When you buy these, look for the Made in Japan on the label. Some stores had Made in Taiwan, and the quality is not considered to be as good.

I just got back from Omax and the CDs I got for $17.99 with a $10 rebate are 16x. The ad states 12x, but who am I to complain.

16x. Sticker "1x-16x Write Speed" stuck over the original "1x-12x" label on the spindle I bought. So look before you buy (unless you have a hand-me-down 4x burner like I do).

Most media will burn at any rate you set. Don't quote me on that, but every piece of media that I have tried has burned at speeds well above spec. I'm still using 8x media on my 12x burner.

With the MIR, do you have to use two seperate forms? If so, I bought the CD's using 1 reciept, would I have to go back to get two seperate reciepts, or could I just copy the reciept and send each copy with each rebate.
