SCA adapters are dirt cheap. Especially because these drives are not LVD, and don't require LVD compatible SCA adapters. You can get them here for $12.95 http://www.computergate.com/cgi-bin/utsearch?sn=216566509513303&cd=02 and I'm sure you can find them cheaper elsewhere.

So basically, a person would need an SCA to 68 pin adapter, and a 68 pin SCSI card? I'm not really familiar with SCSI.

You can get converters to go from 80 pin (SCA) to 68 pin
or 50 pin. Some coverters do both.

Personally, I don't think this is much of a deal. You can
periodically find 10K 9.1Gb drives in the hundred buck range.
That's a bit more than twice this drive, but you only need
one 80->whatever converter (save $10) and you have a more
usable drive...

I guess you could use two of these for a very cheap raid setup,
but jeez, even the cheapest SCSI raid cards are $100 and up...
You're looking at $200 for a 4.5gb setup? Not for me!

My old server at work has an old 4gig 5400 or 7200rpm drive at work for the os partition do you think this drive would help speed things up??

Let's see...two drives and two adapters that's about $106+ shipping for 9gigs. I beleive the 40gig 7200rpm sts100 Maxtor is a better deal for the money.
