The document also suggests that fragments or particles of nuclear fuel from spent fuel pools above the reactors were blown “up to one mile from the units,” and that pieces of highly radioactive material fell between two units and had to be “bulldozed over,” presumably to protect workers at the site.[/B] The ejection of nuclear material, which may have occurred during one of the earlier hydrogen explosions, may indicate more extensive damage to the extremely radioactive pools than previously disclosed.

For the ones giving me guff for pointing out fuel rods laying exposed on the roof in plain sight.

If you go back and look at the video you can see a huge tangled mess that looks like the whole damn rod encasement from a pool (or a huge chunk) blown between the reactors sitting on the ground.

This is what was bulldozed over imo.

Yeah, someone here mentioned that just a few years before they built the plant the area was hit with a wave over 6 meters. Somebody screwed up big time and if I had to guess it was more likely a bean counter then an engineer.
