that thing called a life? um... first step towards success is to throw that out the door. Once you are completely devoid of socialization, you may have a chance.

aren't there less classes to attend for masters and phds? attending classes take up majority of the day already.

Not really, I'm doing a masters atm and about to get a Full time job in a week. The lack of less classes is made up with the huge amount of work and studying you have to put in. Undergrad was easy street, a masters/PhD isn't. Especially a PhD.

A lot of universities have a policy about how many hours a Master's/PhD student can work outside of the university.

I work full-time and attend a master's program, but mine is geared toward the working man (or woman).

Aren't most graduate level classes at night or on weekends anyways? I know at my school they are. Students working full time usually take one or two classes at night after work. 3 hour seminars per class per week. It's not bad, but a lot of work/reading/studying.

During the weekdays, probably, but not during the weekends. Weekends is catch up day and relaxation. But my program is geared towards the working individual. My job is willing to work around my class schedule. I only take 9 credits (considered full-time) or 3 classes.

Had to do Saturday classes for a couple of semesters.

As long as you don't sacrifice your education, there's nothing wrong with it. You're paying for classes so you have to make sure you're actually getting a return on the investment; working without learning is detrimental to your earnings.

I have not been in college without a full time job (college being 12+ credit hours/semester btw). Get up at 7, go to work until 445. Then Mon/Wen class from 6:10 until 9:30, and Tues/Thurs from 5:15 until 9 with Fri/Sat/Sun off. Its not too bad, but I am doing hw at work, and have no free time until Fri after work. Friday usually go out with friends, Sat usually go paintball, Sunday do chores and such. It's not too hard, but yeah full time school/work is hard. For me I am able to get most of school paid for by work (about 2/3 of it) and the rest is grant/loan money that I can pay directly because of having a full time job.

Basically it means I can graduate with no student loans fairly easily, and no debt (car/loan/etc) so I will not complain.

Where are you studying? That sounds like something that could really help me in a few years so if you're willing to share I'd appreciate.

OP, you can work and study full time if you're willing to give up socializing. No binge drinking on weekends either (you lose the next day) and you can pretty much forget games and fun shit on your downtime. It's nice if you can pull off graduating with almost no debt though!

Depends on the major, if it's engineering, it is very difficult to do both full time.

Absolutely correct. As a former engineering major, I can attest to the fact that most engineering classes require a significant amount of out of class work.

QFT

I'm working on my master's at Riddle and this is the case.

I'm banking on making enough after I'm out to cover my loans on the way through.
