I got wind of this from FW and ordered 1 because I'm fast growing out of mid towers.
This isn't much for looks, you may be better off going w/ the antec 1030 from onvia for a little more $$ but if your looking to save anywhere. check this out

CASES

they have a full tower w/ 300w supply for $47, shipping is $16 and I had to call to p[lace the order but... its cheap.

by the way.. onvia sells Hard drive cooling fans that mount into 5.25" bays for $7.25

antec cooling fan

This is a great setup for my KT7-raid. I've got 4 physical hard drives, CDRW, DVD filling up all 6 bays, 4 fans keeping the front cool 3 fans inside.

In stock ships same day (orders palced before noon) via UPS

Nice price for a full tower & 300W PSU. Only problem I see is that there are only three available 3-1/2" bays for hard drives. I just got an Antec 1030 a few days ago which has six 3-1/2 bays, and I have five of them filled with a floppy and four hard drives... IMHO, if it doesn't have five or six 3-1/2" bays, it doesn't qualify as a full-tower.

You say you have four hard drives as well, you may want to check with the vendor to see if the specs are correct...otherwise you'll have to put one (maybe two if you have a floppy) into a 5-1/4" bay with an adapter.

Best regards,
Floyd

<---agrees with Floyd; i lub my SX1030 & if it's gonna be a full tower, seems that 3.5 bays are the thing... though i DID pass up the SX830 because it only had 3 5.25 bays. However, i think the poster of this thread is aware of all this; he wants to use the antec hard drive cooling fans, which means mounting a 3.5 HDD in a cooling enclosure and popping it into a 5.25 bay. Fair trade off, if those fans work to improve the life of the drive. nothing like going from 40 gigs to no gigs (i got in on that last OD PM'd to Staples Maxtor 45 gig deal -- just recieved my drive, but what to do with 85 GB?!?)

Good bargain on this case - i haven't seen that kind of drive bay config. before... but i think i'll be sticking with Antec and Enlight, etc for a while. last bargain case i got, the holes didn't line up, the mobo tray sucked, PCI slots were misaligned, power supply blew after a month,...and on and on. /endworthlesspost

I was going to get the 1030, but (since most places were out of stock anyway =D I went for the KS188. Not much to look at, however, with 5-5.25" and 8-3.5" it's great. I've got it filled with 4-18.2G UW Scsi (the HH size) CD, RW, Drive Tray, ide drive...

Also went for 4 panaflo's. Damn they are quiet!

Very nice Wik. It looks like the Q500 from Inwin. Hell it looks identical. it may be just a picture, but I think I'll order this case anyway.

I ordered one of these for a friend this summer and is pretty nice. They used to come with wheels but not anymore! I just ordered one today myself.

I've got an identical case in mid tower format, and I think I paid $65 for it at a computer show. I really, really like it. One of the best cases I've ever used, in fact. Soooo easy to work on

Here's another place that I have ordered a few cases from and they are very prompt(Even had a PS failure and they replaced it quickly): Electroseller. They have some great Mid-Towers, and a nice full tower. It has an AMD approved 300 watt UL listed supply, 1 large case fan, and has 6 5.25" bays and 5 3.5" bays, and a slide-out motherboard tray. $69 shipped. Pretty well-built cases.

I still have not recieved this case.

I feel sort of the schmuck. I hope I didn;t drag anyone else into a headache. I guess I'll hope to get it tomorrow after the same thought the last 4 days. so much for ships same day. because I placed the order over the phone I have no tracking number of order number reciept.

so if you need a case it look like some others have probably sourced some better deals that thie title thread.

On second thought I may have ordered this case for $37+16= $54 - a mid tower but with 4 exposed 5.35 bays

7 bay mid tower 300W AMD approved supply

I think I'm really needing to upgrade to a full tower too. I have what looks exactly like the Inwin Mid Tower ATX. Exactly the same dimensions and front plate. The PS is blocking the mobo and cramping the other components. This case is ancient though . . . been using it for a good long time.

My favorite cases are the Generic Super cases. The mid towers can be had for around 45 shipped and the full towers for around $65 - $80 shipped. They use thicker metal then most of the cheaper cases and seem pretty solid with pop of sides. I have used the mid tower one for 2 years now in my main machine.

That case looks like one I sold in with a system last week. They are nice cases but a bit on the thin side as fas as the metal used. Not bad for the price but the Super cases are pretty strong. I could step on top of mine and it would hold me.
