The other site you pointed to is for Dashboard widgets.. those do NOT work with Konfabulator. Please don't confuse the two. They look very much the same, because Apple ( althought they claim it's their own idea ) stole the whole "Widget" idea and the look from Konfabulator.

Uh...No. Look right under Dashboard Widgets. It says "Widgets for KONFABULATOR, Kapsules, Avedesk that emulate Tiger Dashboard. Eveyone of them I have downloaded works fine.

What a retarded website.. they are just bunching different types of widgets into one section.. I was just making the point that Dashboard Widgets will not work with Konfabulator. And vice-versa. Also, some people who have submitted to that website are using stolen graphics. You can't freely use the graphics from Apple's weather widget and slap it on a Konfabulator widget and call it your own without Apple's permission. The Konfabulator guys have been very good at keeping tabs on this, and all widgets get tested first. Who knows what kind of code is lurking in the same widgets that people steal graphics for.

This new version is hardly a resource hog...just limit the number you have open to about 3 and its not bad at all, assuming you have a decent machine.

Terrific free program, guess yahoo is trying to move like google.

is 2 instances of konfabulator upposed to be open? 1 instance takes about 13megs ram and the other takes 7 megs ram. Also, dled the cpu monitor and it didnt work. show up in konfabulator menu but does not open a viewable widget.

i can't remember for sure but i think each running widget is listed in task manager.
(or are you seeing two instances of the konfabulator icon in the systray?)

i have weather, volume xp(my theme seems to like to not display the volume icon), system dashboard memory monitor and systemdashboard cpu monitor(linsted in konfabulator widgets open but i see nothing. 2 instances open of konfabulator after i open the 4th widget. if i force the 2nd process closed in task manager, it randomoly closes a widget.

eedit: nvm. it opens 1 process for each widget and a extra one for konfabulator itself.

yep, just like Dashboard in OSX Tiger...hit F8 (or whatever you bind it to) and I see Daily Dose, calendar, weather, TVscrape, bugmenot's widget, todolist and picture frame. Good stuff, it's come in quite handy.
