Whats going on guys. I have decided that I want to improve the internal appearance of my case by getting a "Fully Modular" Power Supply rather than the None modular one I'm using now. I hate looking through the Side window of my case and seeing all those spare cables just clumped. My case has somewhat limited wire management on the side panel so I have this bundle of cables zip tied inside my case and it just doesn't look neat. I need something that can effectively power my rig. I do plan on buying a liquid cooler for my i7 3770K and Over clocking (For the First time) in the near future so it has to have enough power to do that.

I set out a couple of PSU's that are within my $120 Budget and that are "Fully" modular.

3) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817189027

I am really not sure what I should get if you guys have any suggestions that are within my budget and that are Fully Modular, please do share.

You didn't mention your current PSU or case. Pretty relevant info, you know...

Can you show us the internals of your case, as well as the view behind the motherboard tray? Maybe there's something to be improved in your cable management.

Overclocking the 3770K will not increase power consumption by more than a few dozen watts, it's nothing to worry about. I'd hasten against the liquid cooler idea from a bang for buck point of view, air coolers typically achieve similar performance at a lower price.

Hi!

Yea sorry, I forgot its not on my signature anymore cause of the new sig rules so I had to make room cause I don't know how to make it compact like yours. But that's for another post lol.

I have a Rosewill Blackhawk Mid ATX Case

I'm going out for dinner with some friends in a bit so I won't be able to take the picture of the side at this moment, but I will do it when I get back. Aslo I'm using a Corsair TX750 right now.

I do have a picture of the inside I took a while back.

I have 2 Blue 12" cathodes ON, that's why the picture looks like it has a blue tint.

I have the Seasonic X750 which I got for $99 a few months back, and it is amazing. I usually go for 80Plus Gold PSUs these days unless I need a small, cheap PSU for an older rig. I've had good luck with Rosewill (Super Flower based 80+ Gold) and LEPA G series Gold rated PSUs, but the Seasonic is a steal for the price.

Just got back from Dinner. 2 Dozen raw oysters later and now I Hope I don't pay the price later on tonight or next morning. But well worth the risk ^_^

Regarding the PSU. I need to make sure I can sell the one I have now before I can buy a new one. I tried Craigslist 2 weeks ago and just recently renewed it this morning but I had no hits. Its only 6 months old. I still have the Newegg invoice and the box and paperwork. If I could have it for certain that someone is going to buy my Corsair PSU then I would buy this one "Tonight". I need to sell this one first :| though or like I said, at least be certain I have a buyer first. Ugh...

You should definitely be able to do a better job with the cable management. I don't see how a modular PSU would help if the CPU cable is still there in front of everything instead of routed behind the mobo tray.

Can you please take a photo of the internals, showing the whole case? Can't see everything clearly in the photo you posted. And can you take another one from behind the motherboard (remove the right side panel)?

Here you go, sorry about the Quality my hands were shaky and my Droid 3 camera has being acting out lately with the Focus. But as you can see I don't have too much room left.

Hey. OK some things you could improve:

- The CPU cable is hanging in front of everything. Pull it through the same hole as the main 24-pin ATX cable, then stretch it all the way to the uppermost cable management hole and then connect it. That'd hide the bulk of it.

- That device, whatever it is, that you've got in the lowest expansion slot - why isn't the wire routed behind the motherboard tray? There's a small opening above the PSU, can you stick it through there?

- Either your PCIe cables are not routed behind the tray at all, or they're just a bit loose. I'd try pulling more of them behind the motherboard tray then maybe tie them to the 24-pin ATX cable.

- There is a lot of real estate behind the motherboard tray where you could tuck all those cables you have in a jumble on the floor. Can't really make out which cable is which and where they all connect, but few of them seem to be unused so I don't see how a modular PSU would help you there.

My 4 1/2 year old OCZ psu suddenly died yesterday. Unfortunately only had a 3 year warranty. Limping along for now on a Corsair CX430 that I use to replace Dell power supplies.

I found a Seasonic M12II Bronze 620W 80Plus Power Supply for $77.99 + $6.99 shipping at Superbiiz. The coupon code HARBOWL brought it down to $73.28 shipped. Decent price and no rebate. Coupon is good until 2/4.

It should be sufficient for your needs.

By the way, I'm wondering why your graphics card is in the lower slot instead of the primary x16 slot.

To be fair, that'd be a downgrade and wouldn't support dual GPUs with two PCIe connectors each, at least not without adapters.
