Whats a fun part time job? Here's the situation, I've signed my full time offer (management consutling) and I'm still at school for 2 more quarters. I have a bit of free time, and i'm thinking about finding a part time job thats fun where you can meet people. Don't really care about how much it pays.

Suggestions?

Coffee shops, tea shops, jamba juice ... those trendy specialty drink type places are fun to work at and meet people.

... personally I work at a tea shop myself as a p/t job. I've met a lot of people that I keep in contact with even today ... go clubbing with, hang out, talk with etc

I was extremely close to getting hired by On-Site Sourcing as a remote document coder. I passed the test, I filled out my app, tax forms, scanned my driver's license, etc. Then before I was finally able to start she told me you had to be 18 (was 16 at the time). I TOLD the woman on the phone the day she called me for a phone interview that I was 16 years old, and she said "Yep, that's fine, 16's the minimum age!" Sure...

Paid $10-$12 an hour depending on the job for sitting on my ass typing. And I know there would've been enough work because you were required to work 20 hours a week.

Oh well, Sears treats me well.

Yep. You had to review scanned physical pieces of paper and type out the pertinent information and build a database of it for the client. Most projects were huge bundles of hundreds of papers. But you had a few days to finish each one.

Ahhhh, 'k. I'm looking for a part time job myself, probably 10 hours a week.

How did you hear about it? I'm thinking of applying as a part time job because I have a lot of free time! Seriously, this would be awesome for part time work.

I earned good money (like $10 an hour) as a customer service desk employee at a mall. Most of the time is spent just sitting aorund watching people but i got all the mall discounts (instead of just working at one store) and free food from food court and cute girls come by and talk to me whenever. It was a good job all around...too bad i got fired
