So GF got a new Canon 5D MKII the other day, which means I get to play with it as well.

Shot with a 24-70 F2.8L

Still need to get familiar with the camera. But damn is it ever nice to use. Can't wait to get my 7D it will make a wonderful compliment to the 5D MKII

considering this is from a XTi to a 5dMKII at an extra 11+ MP of resolution. A whole heck of a lot more detail is caught with the same lens. Especially if you crop a picture from the full size to get what you wanted. Defnitely more cropability in the 5D MKII. Something you don't realize until you have it in your hands and go hey I can cut all this out.

The price of a 5D2 is fairly insignificant compared to the cost of the other equipment/software necessary to shoot professional-grade video with one.

The pro grade monitors they use are well in excess of 2-4k...and the lenses are PRICEY

Impressive. I am saving to replace my 5D with a MK II. BTW - where was this? I see the idiot has an Arizona plate. Here in Tucson, we have a law that requires such idiots to pay all costs for recovering their vehicle as well as themselves - we call it the stupid motorist law.

Now if only they could upgrade the AF in the 5D and perhaps bump the shooting speed to 5fps or so, I'd buy it. FF is amazing though. Too bad I'm too heavily invested in crop lenses =[

Yeah that's one reason I never go into EF-S lens's... I plan on buying a 5D one of these days... maybe when they come down to the $500 mark

there is always the 7D , which I plan on getting one for myself soon. So gf will have the 5DMKII and I will have my 7D. Best of both worlds

That would be my dream combo. Lucky you and the gf! Sweet AF of the 7D + 8fps shooting and also the awesomeness of a FF sensor to do landscapes. Wow, life would be so good. BTW, your pics make me drool =[

So I took a day trip to northern Arizona this past Friday with girl friend and her sister who was visiting us. We got some great shots of the various places we stopped by.
