Weird! A few weeks ago a friend of mine bid on a "new in box" PC. I think it was a Dell 8250, it came with a 17" LCD and a bunch of other expensive components, and it was like $1200.
The seller had no feedback, and the location was listed as New Mexico. My friend lost the auction, but he e-mailed the seller to see if he had any more to sell. The seller tells him he has two more systems but he has to receive the money Western Union, and (oh by the way) he's actually in Romania. He would ship them UPS and they'd get here in 2 days.

My friend decided not to get it (obviously). He did e-mail the guy who actually won the auction and asked him to let him know how the transaction went, but I don't think he's heard back from him yet.

I called him when I saw this thread and asked him "was the guy's name Danut?" and he said he thought it was.
Now I'm extra glad he's got ATOT f***ing with him.

I believe there are bunch of romania scams also on ubid. My friend almost bought a laptop before realizing the dude was in romania. He probably does scams there too.

And I wanna reiterate to everyone: Don't all start emailing him at once!!! It's more fun if we string him along slowly
