Funniest error message you've seen?

I hit the back button in an web-based application the other day and got "There is no going back." Made me chuckle.

This error message appears on the Motorola Canopy equipment my company uses for our wireless broadband network. If you put the password in incorrectly, you get this error message -

Unauthorized (401)

Through a series of highly sophisticated and complex algorithms, this system has determined that you are not presently authorized to use this system function. It could be that you simply mistyped a password, or, it could be that you are some sort of interplanetary alien-being that has no hands and, thus, cannot type. If I were a gambler, I would bet that a cat (an orange tabby named Sierra or Harley) somehow jumped onto your keyboard and forgot some of the more important pointers from those typing lessons you paid for. Based on the actual error encountered, I would guess that the feline in question simply forgot to place one or both paws on the appropriate home keys before starting. Then again, I suppose it could have been a keyboard error caused by some form of cosmic radiation; this would fit nicely with my interplanetary alien-being theory. If you think this might be the cause, perhaps you could create some sort of underground bunker to help shield yourself from it. I don't know that it will work, but, you will probably feel better if you try something.

Some people sometimes get this under Linux :

"fsck for root files system (/) failed."

There is an utility under Linux and it's called fsck! It is used to check and optionally repair one or more Linux file systems

One of the developers at my previous job used to code all his errors in the form of communication. Some examples:

"Hello. I cannot do that"
or "Hi. I am sorry, you made a mistake."

What made this funny is that it was an enterprise level business software. Needless to say our PM neerly had a heart attack when she saw that.

Where I work our boss lets us get away with embedding some humor into the program, as long as no profanity is used or implied then he's fine with it, because think about it, if users get a laugh out of each error, errors would cause less anxiety to people, and perhaps allow them to cool down and actually determine the reason behind the error. And even perhaps errors would become something people long for at some point

Haha, I would get those occasionally when writing LabVIEW programs.

Has anyone else ever seen a completely blank error popup window in winXP? All it has is the red circle with the X through it - no text anywhere.
