I've started watching Parks and Rec on Netflix. I'm on episode 4 still waiting for anything, anything, something to be funny. At this point, I'm rather confused at how this show made it past an initial 6 episode pilot run..
Fight through Season 1, it will be worth it. Starting with Season 2, Parks & Rec really gets its feet under it. When Rob Lowe becomes a main character, the show gets the boost it needs to become a classic.
My List:
Parks & Rec (seasons 2-6)
Coach
Three's Company (Here, let me date myself, again)
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (I am just starting Season 2, but I laughed my ass off through Season 1)
Eastbound and Down
Newsradio
Seinfeld
Modern Family
(In no particular order)
Honorable Mention goes to:
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (Through Season 7)
The League (The whole cast phoned it in during the last season, though)
If we include animated series:
1 - Archer
2 - South Park (Seasons 1-12~ and 18-20)
3 - Teen Titans Go!
I never could get Cheers, Frasier or The Simpsons. I think I can see what people like about them but other than Woody Harrelson's "♫Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly.....♫" I don't think I laughed out loud through any of them.
I reserve the right to edit and update this list as I remember back through my 40+ years of TV viewing.
