Been to kentucky kingdom the year before that and never had any of those problems.

hmm, that's odd, i went to six flags over texas last year in june, i believe, and it was pretty crowded. Most of the roller coasters had some fairly long lines, especially the titan. The other ones weren't so bad, but it was at least a 15 minute wait for most rides.

Besides, I'd love to roam around an empty park, it must be fun to be able to hop from roller coaster to roller coaster without any wait

It is the company name.

A little info for those that like to quote Will Rogers:

It's trashed, overrun with gangs, and just plain dirty. I'll miss the rides themselves, but that's it. Plus it's hot as hell up there.

I visited my cousins in Cali and they took me there. There was like a 2 hour wait for some ride, all I remember from the name is X, (some crazy coaster) and the ride broke down when I was like 4 turns from being up. So then we had to wait another hour and a half before they fixed it and a almost a half hour for trial runs to make sure it was working properly.

Also, I believe the Six Flags Darien Lake (Darien, NY) was gone down hill since Six Flags acquired it some years back.

6 flags Darien Lake season pass for family of 4 = $170.
Regular admission to 6 Flags Great Adventure for a family of 4 = 199.96.

Seeing the expression on the lady's face behind us in line who questioned us about season passes when we explained that not only had we been to our local 6 flags 5 times that summer, and an Ohio 6-flags, but were also entering the park for free that she had just paid $200 for - priceless.

I didn't realize that Astroworld was closed. It's been too long since I've been back to Houston. I used to go there a lot as a kid.

A few years ago, Six Flags bought and operated a Cleveland area amusement park formerly called Geauga Lake.

Geauga Lake was always fun to go to, but when it became Six Flags it got ran down pretty quickly. The whole place was littered with trash. It was overrun with pre-teen gangster wannabes. Half the rides were broke, and the half that weren't smelled like the previous riders had urinated all over them. There were few non-ride attractions to speak of. And their prices were exhorbitant.

They just got bought back from Six Flags, and is now owned by Cedar Fair (the same company that owns and operates Cedar Point), and it is doing much, much better now.

Took the family to florida two weeks ago and hit Busch Gardens in Tampa. It was a blast. We had free tickets as part of our admission price to Discovery Cove. So, the money we saved with the free tickets we used for a guided Safari Tour or Busch Gardens. This included express entrance onto the rides. Granted, the guide had to be there to get us on the ride, but after she left she gave us some tickets that we could present to skip the lines. It was worth the price.

LOL, I live in Arlington, where 6-Flags was started. I know a bit about it. Do you know WHY it's called "6-flags"?

Text
The park took its name from the six flags that have flown over the state of Texas during its history (Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the United States of America and the Confederate States of America).

Also, you don't understand that quote... If I was wrong, I'm ignorant, and there's nothing wrong with that. Ignorance is fine in and of itself. As it is you are ignorant to how the park got it's name and how that doesn't relate to anything outside Texas. Nothing wrong with that.
