Hello, how are you?
I am wonmdering if anyone installed a Fury X on a HAF XB Evo?
It's my case and I have some reservations about a fury X.
The AMD Manual states:
This is my system:
It has two intake 140mm fans and one exhaust spot for a 120mm fan.
I could mount the radiator on the exhaust spot, but then I would have two issues:
- The radiator would have to sit on it's side, since the HAF XB is a desktop case with the motherboard horizontal.
So, the in and out tubes woulb be to the side and not to the bottom as AMD recommends.
- The radiator would be right next to the CPU cooler and it the path of it's airflow, so it would take in hot air.
The other option would be to sacrífice na intake fan and mount the radiator as intake.
The tubes would be on the side, but it would take cold air from outside the case.
In either option, the radiator would be on the same level as the card, and not above.
Would it be an issue?
If I installed it as intake, would it be better in front of the CPU cooler? Or the card?
Can you please help me out?
Thanks.
Regards!

The AMD Manual states:
For proper mounting of the radiator assembly:
Select a location that has the most open grills on the case for better air flow.
The radiator assembly must be mounted above the graphics card and in a location that has minimal impedance to air flow.
Do not mount the graphics card or radiator assembly above an open power supply to prevent power supply damage in case of coolant leakage.
The radiator should be mounted on the side of the chassis so that the tubes exit from the bottom edge of the radiator.
The radiator assembly must be correctly mounted inside the computer case and not left resting outside of the case.
Do not change the placement of the fan on the radiator.
