22nd was the end of the billing cycle
23rd was new billing cycle

I asked if she could waive the fee as a courtesy, especially considering they're a day apart
she said neither her or her supervisor has the ability to do so

Chase nailed me for a late fee for paying at 5:30 at night..the cutoff date is 5:00. I called and even though they could see i paid it on the due date, since i was past the cutoff time they wouldnt take it off.

I fucking hate Chase. My billing cycles run the 17th-16th of each month. I put some school books on my mastercard (around the 8th). Paid some off, and it was processed the 15th, had some balance left. Paid the rest the following month on the 1st or 2nd. Got slapped with a late fee somehow. With no balance left on the card. They wouldn't take it off. Plus my APR is now 29% thanks to that.

This means you have had other fees waived previously in the last 12 months. Don't lie about it.

Anyway, learn to keep your balance sheet and you won't have a problem. Simple addition and subtraction.

They absolutely do and you've used it previously within the last 12 months. You don't get another one until another 12 have passed from your previous items. My wife worked at Chase through school.

Wanna bet they don't?
I'll call them and record it. If they do, I'll give you my refunded overlimit fee.

I don't make bets with liars.

Here's how it works. You call in and get a fee waived, which you did sometime within the last 12 months. The next time you call they say "sorry, we can't waive that, we don't do that" - the reason being they already waived one for you. There are notes on your account showing the last time you had a fee waived. This is absolutely how Chase works.

Then you post on ATOT for sympathy because you can't keep a balance sheet and demonetize Chase for not not waiving yet another fee for you. Typical customer.

Let's see you have X dollars in bank account. You spend Y dollars which is more than X. This means your account is negative balance. They charge a fee for spending money which you don't have. You agreed to these terms when opening your account.

Uh no shit. I'm not complaining about an overlimit fee. I'm complaining about TWO charged within a day of each other.

Is this your debit card/checking account?

I have bunch of Chase credit cards- they always waive if you ended up paying and ask nicely.
