Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>

last time i used icq, i installed it, went to take a crap, then came back to 200 pornbot messages, i promptly uninstalled it and then stuck my head in the toilet bowl to decontaminate.

from what i understand most people in the us use aim, but in canada most people haven't even heard of aim/icq, we all use msn. and yes it's down for me and a few other people i'm talkin to on irc... bastards.

I'd like to see some stats on this kind of thing.. While its true most in the US use AIM, its a little different in Canada.. At my school we all used ICQ, but now were transitioning over to MSN. At my cousins school they only used MSN. ICQ is fading away, MSN is taking over.. AIM needs to die. Such a POS.. I dont see why everyone hates AOL but uses AOL daily.. MSN is much better.

And yes MSN Messenger is down. Perhaps is has something to do with the fact that MSN Messenge 7.0 should be rolling out sometime this month..

Everyone I know uses Xfire

All 5 of them?

I also agree about MSN being #1 in Canada. ICQ is dead. ICQ was also banned in a lot of University networks, making MSN the default choice.

I was at school trying to get on and first noticed that webmessenger.msn.com I could not access at all and I though wtf did my college all of a suden decide they wanted to block msn from the use any place on campus. Then I came home and found it down here as well so I know its down. This is beging to piss me off because most of my friends use it and I cant ever talk with them anymore because the darn thing is down often. Time to force others to move to a more stable messenger programy. Or beter yet I would like to get them on IRC but they arent that comp savey

I'm Canadian and I grew up on ICQ, and now I'm on Trillian for both ICQ and MSN.. you shouldnt generalize like that.

exactly... like i said above.... prior to msn, ICQ was the choice of IM program... I guess that Orakle22 is too young to know what icq is...

MSN is actually quite good as a messenger program. The client is relatively bloat- and ad-free, logs chats, and doesn't install 1000 icons all over the place when you update it.

MSn is still logged in for me, but it only says that some people can't login.. so..
that might explain the lack of people online tonight..

and usually it works when MSN don't
