There are three fvckin bolts I needa undo to fix my car, and I can't fvckin undo them because they won't budge! I've spent the last hour and a half just trying to remove them! Tried rust spray stuff and pounding it and even cussing at it and still no budge!

A two hour job is turning into a five hour whine fest.

Thank you for reading.

*UPDATE 2 hours later*
So it turns out I stripped the damn bolt and now I'm gonna have to take it to the shop. I'm lubing my arse up already for Monday. Woo!

Yes, a propane torch is fine. As long as it won't damage anything nearby you will be fine. Just don't go doing it near the gas tank or fuel lines

A small torch has been my savior on a few occasions, i just have a hard time remembering to try it first before getting pissy lol.

Large bolts?

I had the same problem when I was doing front struts on my car. The bolts were held in with 18 years of Michigan rust. Two lengths of pipe, screwed together and slipped over a quality (craftsman) breaker bar twisted it out in a matter of minutes. No heat required. Of course, these bolts were probably 1/2" thick, not including the head.
The "brute force" method is not a smart way to go about it if the bolts are relatively small...

Black88GTA has the right idea. With a large enough lever you can move anything. I use a length of pipe on the end of a rachet and can get any bolt off with ease. This how I removed the that huge bolt holding the CV axel to the wheel. It really works.

Yeah, I have that stuff. Just used it. Nothing.

How long did you let it penetrate? Did you reapply? Using a huge breaker bar may not be a good idea unless you have excellent access to the bolts, should they break. And if they're THAT rusty, there's a good chance they will break. Use more PB, an impact wrench or the torch first.

BION cocacola will derust a bolt, even beer will also penetrate and loosen, often better than some "oils"you spray.
Its worked for me. use 6 point sockets, try to tighten it, use a hammer on wrench to tap closed first then open, back and forth.
If bolt easily replaceable, just break them off and replace.

And yes, propane will help expand the nut. Heat only the outer portion of nut, as heat on the center bolt will expand it instead. heat works because of the thermo-dynamic properties of metal.

I let it penetrate at least 20-30 mins. The bolts are small; it's the ones on the bottom that hold the strut to the fork.

Yeah, I'll try to torch it in a bit after my friend comes over with more tools (breaker bar and pipe).

Air wrench.

My friend's dad has an air wrench in their garage, but I don't think I can drive my car over there, even though it's only a mile away. The actual spring broke and there are pieces scattered over the garage.

get a long pole and put it on the end of a breaker bar. works everytime.

metal mailbox posts are usually the best.

Let the PB soak overnight. I had to use it to put the last lift on my jeep which is almost 20 years old now. I sprayed it every night for a week before I did the lift and all the bolts came out pretty easy.
