Delima for me is that I need a dual core board with SLI that will overclock the E6300 like a mother. I'm not giving up my dual 7800GT's anytime soon.

If they have socket 939/AM2 and want something faster, their best bet is to ditch it and get a core 2 duo E6600 for $180 and a new motherboard for $50-75. With that you will get a much better price to performance ratio and upgrade path.

The FX-55 is still a .13 micron chip, and consequently runs pretty hot. If you must have a socket 939 FX, then at least lean towards the FX-57.
