The memory might be holding you back, that's why you're getting error messages in Prime95.
Corsair has problems running low timings with FX processors. The guys on the CorsairMicro forums try to help out, but haven't admitted anything yet.

Check to make sure your Ram DDR voltage is set to 2.8, that's the first thing they'll tell you. If your MB is on Auto, it might be set to 2.7 which is a little too low.
Corsair 3200XLpro has those default timings of 2225, but the best I can get with mine is 2336. Run Memtest to verify this, it's a free download and runs from a floppy, which is why the floppy still lives.

Two sets of 3200XL pro, and both need to run at 2336 to avoid errors in memtest and prime95.
Get OCZ Platinum EL memory. About $400 bucks, but that's the answer. This is what we should have bought.

But at the time, Corsair had all those good reviews. Little did we know, the XLpro wouldn't work well with FX chips at 2225 timings.
OCZ and MSI were not huge buzz words 3 months ago. They were respected, and the NEO2 had just come out, but Abit/Asus/Corsair were bigger names. We rolled the dice and lost.
