13% higher system power consumption in CB11.5 and ~8.2% performance uplift. Again, very similar to other reviews (Ivy Bridge ~ Haswell). Perhaps if you repeat this 100x times it might come true, or not.
Good point.

ANandtech X264 is a particular case since it use AVX2 wich IB is deprived of, as such this is a typicaly cherry picked bench.

As for CB numbers dont worry, i already posted the numbers and you are off , here the raw numbers scores/TDP :

2600K 10.1

3770K 13.7

4770K 12

http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=36746188&postcount=257

So the 3770K has 14% better perf/watt than the 4770K, we are far from your random calculations, the power delta is 45W for the 3770K and 58W for the 4770K, that s 28.8% for a score that is 8.2% better, i let you finish the calculation...

So not only your link was wrong but you also have to make up excuses for AnandTech numbers. Just how far will you go?

Moving on to power efficiency the i7-4770K is more power efficient than the i7-3770K it replaces in all three of our scenarios, despite having a higher rated TDP. Intel’s integrated voltage regulation is no doubt at work here, helping to keep Haswell’s power consumption under control.

Let me guess, all of them are fake and don't matter since they contradict your false assumptions.

You should add the links of your graphs, notice that i generaly do it.

When you look at SA power numbers in Prime 95 you ll see that they are off compared to computerbase.de numbers using the same soft.
The 3770K is at 56W power delta while the 4770K is at 79W, of course there should be a score to make a valuable comparison but this just show that the 4770K consume generaly more, as said the only exception is when AVX2 is used, in wich case it manage to be at about 3770K level, for all the rest it has significantly lower perf/watt ratio by said 15-20%, no wonder that you re insisting with X264, i could have used Houdini or Stockfisch as chess bench the result would had been the same, you can replace 7zip by Winrar or CB by Povray and you ll get about the same figures.

Prime 95 :

As for false assumption, yes, you did show us how much i was wrong in CB , so please stop your deffamation since you made basic calculations mistakes as a mean to "prove" me wrong...

Both chips are pretty darn good for video editing. Honestly, I'd focus more on GPU acceleration. It is probably a more effective means of improving video editing performance nowadays.

OK.

on my FX-8310 at 4.3ghz I got 256.4fps average on handbrake 0.9.9.5530 encoding BigBuckBunny to Android format.

on handbrake 0.10.0, 265.5fps average.

Go with FX 8350 which is 180$ or in case you are willing to overclock then buy FX 8320 which is 150$ and if I remember correctly, it has same stock cooler so you can safely overclock it to FX 8350.

If you're going for i5 then rather buy FX 8320/FX 8350.

FX 8320 150$ Newegg/139$ NCIXUS
Decent motherboard supporting 8XXX is 50$ or less

Going AMD route will save at least 100$ that you can then invest in RAM as the more the merrier for video rendering as with Photoshop too.

You can possibly snatch these babies;

In case you live in US.

I wonder how many years will it take till an AMD CPU actually matches the ST performance of a 4.6GHz Pentium G3258 using 24/7 cooling.

I don't care to contemplate that..but what if the chip they make next year is much better than that?

It's possible
As for video editing..
1366 x5650 would be quite good..
better than FX,Better than Haswell i5
cheaper, too
I like cheap!
