The complaint here is not the method of execution, it's the timing and location.
If you guys really believe in shooting then you should at least concede a pellet rifle would have been the better choice.
Good lesson for the kids IMO. You don't like kitties getting killed then next time try to adopt them out on craigslist or just leave them alone. Want them gone today well call up crazy animal control man.
Why not for non-emergency issues. It's easy, its not time sensitive and it provides convenience. Seems like a good idea for me as long as it's not they only way (I don't use facebook).
wow is that forreal? lol
To do all this CO2/nitrogen crap you guys speak of. He has to call animal control to drive out in some large gas guzzling vehicle. spend time to capture the things, drive back, store them have another person put them down, dispose of the bodies. I'm sure reports have to be completed by all the agencies involved in some manner or another as well.
To do what he did, get a clear shot, scoop them up throw them in the garbage. File one report.
He should have lined them up so he only had to use 2 bullets. How about cleaning up the wood pile of blood and brains?
Overall, I'm OK with using guns for this purpose but not on the residents property. At least now the mom has something to scare the kids with. "You listen to me or I'll call Animal Control".
From the way the article read, i don't think the children were present. It said the mother went inside to be with the kids.
If I were the homeowner, I'd fully have expected that the cats would be killed. But I would have expected them to remove the cats and kill them off-site. If a humane society officer discharged a firearm like this in my backyard I'd be livid and would do everything in my power to get his gun license revoked.
