Also, who the fuck kills kittens? It's one thing to kill the adult cats that have been in the shelter forever and nobody wants them, it's still wrong, but killing kittens is a whole other level of cruelty.

Imagine if adoption homes were ran like shelters. Too many kids, time to kill some! Or you call children's aid because the neighbor is abusing their kids, and the show up with a gun and kill the kids. Cats are living creatures too, and should be treated as such. I'm sure someone could find them a home if enough effort was put into place.

The other option is if they are super wild, leave them alone. Why do we always feel the need to remove animals? Let them live their lives the way they please.

If they want to control population, just spay/neuter them and release them back in the wild.

This. To me this is the most humane solution. Let them live their lives, they just wont be able (or want) to reproduce, and will eventually die of natural causes or old age.

Knowing he was going to euthanize kittens, he probably brought a .22 with him. It's perfect for the job. .22 Shorts are just right, and pretty safe in the situation.

Would that also mean you can fix them so they wouldn't reproduce? Our course we deal with fellow humans differently than animals. It should be no surprise.
You saw the complaint the residents had about the cats. It's not like they went looking for them in the woods or something.

Had he ever shot a 22? A 22 is a loud fucking gun because the round has fairly high pressures and some rounds are even supersonic.

Now had he subsonic ammo and a suppressor it would have been golden. I love my suppressed 22.

Also I'm pro euthanization. It should just be safe and the animals in question should not suffer.
