G.Skill 4GB [2 x 2GB] DDR2 1000 [PC2 8000] RAM

I want to use G.Skill 4GB [2 x 2GB] DDR2 1000 [PC2 8000] RAM with the ECS G31T-M MB, but not sure if the MB will recognize/boot with the RAM!

The only problem I could think of is the 2.0v of the ram. Some cheaper boards dont like high voltage ram.

Thats what I'm worried about too; was hoping, someone can confirm these running @ DDR2 800 [PC2 6400] speed at the MB's default 1.8-1.9v, as these require 2.0-2.1v to run at the rated speed of DDR2 1000. I mean at the moment the slower speed or even slower timing [higher latencies] wouldn't matter much, until I get a better MB later on that is.

I'd rather not waste money by getting a pair of DDR2 800 RAM, as that would only be 10-15 bucks cheaper than this; honestly I would go for DDR2 1066, but that 33 MHz isn't even worth paying the extra 50-55 bucks; these are the perfect RAM capacity/speed to price ratio right now; who knows maybe in a month or 2 the 1066 might come down to these prices, or go even lower!

Thanks a bunch Andrew1990; I'd still hope someone can share their knowledge of this mobo/RAM combo, I mean where else can I go?

P.S. I think I'm going to get this RAM, its too cheap to pass up on!

It should be jedec'd to run at 800 1.8V 5-5-5-18, all good RAM should be able to do that. The extra voltage is just because it's some DDR2-800 that clocks higher.

It works fine at DDR 800 w/ 1.8V @ 5 5 5 15 at least both sets I've got do anyways.

By default it runs on the GA-P35-DS3L:
800mhz 5-5-5-15 1.8v
