Just found these as I was about to order some 2x1GB DDR500 sticks and saw this sale!
Searched and didnt see this posted so here it is! Hop on it, Im ordering now so it doesnt go out of stock before I order!

Just placed my order. I guess they have these sticks in stock at the New Jersey warehouse (2 states away) because they estimated a one day delivery time instead of 3 days! Cant beat that for $4.81!

Yeah, newegg had theese for 158$ no rebate like a week ago...on top of that there was like a 15$ MIR. I wouldnt be suprised if the instant rebate got bigger in a few days...never know, another rebate may pop up too. Still it is a very good deal, I bought a 1x1GB stick of DDR500 like a month ago for 120$.

Theres supposed to be a free shipping code floating around...I aint got any idea what or where to find it...but if anyone knows it would make the deal that much better.

Yeah elite, I seen that thread when I searched but this was a new deal so posted it. Instant savings/rebates rock. Im kinda glad I didnt pull the trigger on the OCZ rebate. I sent a rebate in December 7th for an OCZ product and still havent gotten my check yet, it hasnt even been shipped yet! I shipped a newegg/thermaltake rebate in over a month after and have already received and cashed that check. OCZ rebates have been SLOW for me!

I purchased this kit about two weeks ago. The memory did run at rated speed and ratings but locked up certain applications and crashed Photoshop CS2. I also had an occasional random reboot for no apparent reason.

I ran Memtest86 v.3.2 and got a bunch of errrors on tests 3 and 4. Of course Newegg gave me an RMA number and the memory was mailed back to them yesterday.

I will not say anything bad about G.Skill memory right now. You can get a deffective product from any manufacturer. When the replacement arrives I will see how well it works and make my decision based on that.

Is it the Gold PC4000 XTC? I believe they are the same chipsets and I'm partial about OCZ with their support with DFI boards but I heard the rebates suck.

But of course, their office is near my GF's house so I can stop by there if they take forever on their rebates...

According to websites, both the GSkill and OCZ Gold XTC are UCCC chips. I kind of like the OCZ since DFI-Streets has a lot of support for them. However, there is the rebates and so forth.

I have a day to decide if the XTC is my plan...

The gskill overclocks higher than the OCZ does just fyi. Both are great though. All the 2gb pc-4000 kits use Samsung UCCC chips as far as I know.

Id be all over this if I didnt have to pay taxes. : /

They were never $146. You were thinking of the red heat spreader gskills. they were only pc3200 and doesnt oc.

These are ddr500 and the lowest they have been on sale was -$40. Currently they are -$35
