G35 vs WRX , who's faster !!

when my friend was looking for a car we drove a WRX. I was VERY disappointed. The handling sucked, and the turbo lag was more than I would have permitted. The car stickered for 27K, and it wasn't close to worth that. It did sound good for a 4 banger.

My friend ended up with a stick Maxima. That car gets rubber in the first 3 gears.

I saw 2 WRX's today... one normal WRX with a family in it, and an STi driven by a lowly 20something. They were both blue. The STi had gold rims though.

The general consensus I have seen is that the G wins decidedly from a roll but it's a driver's race from a stop. Can't wait to find a WRX at a light sometime and find out for myself though. The time slips I've seen for the G35C have it running about a 14.2 right around 100.

I can also vouch for the G's chick magnetism.

Get a G35. If you really want more speed down the line, then by the supercharger or turbo kit that is coming out for 'em.

No, it wouldn't. With its VTEC and lack of low-end torque, the GSR is just as bad from a roll as the WRX with its turbo lag.
I don't think you know much about the WRX. I don't brag much about street racing (and particularly not here) but one of my first "kills" in my WRX was actually on a 300M rolling from 55mph (which is an optimum start for 3rd btw). He initiated it (just to be clear) and I blew his freakin' doors off.
I'm not saying the WRX is the "king of cars" or any BS like that. Nothing of the sort. Not is it perfect by any stretch of the imagination. What I am saying is that if you are a "driver" (meaning you actually don't want leather or nav systems or other such unnecessary items and just want a pure car that is both handles well and is relatively fast), the WRX is the best car you can get for under $25k.

I can actually give you guys FIRST HAND(Gasp!!) information about racing a WRX at the track. I took my stock WRX to the track and ran mid 14's in the quarter. I think the fastest I ran stock was a 14.3X something. I then "modified" my WRX with a $20 boost controller, and ran a 13.96 with everything else stock, which was nice. After I finished that run, the track told me that if I ran under 14 I would need to wear a helmet
I've raced at the track with other WRX drivers, and stock they hit mid 14's easily.

Drove a G35 yesterday, im pretty conviencedthat g35 is slower than wrx, both are 2004 model
but the spec-wise, g35 looks faster... so wat do u guys think ?

I HIGHLY doubt the wrx is faster if they are both '04s. If the g35 was a rev up the wrx definitely have no chance. People just assume the wrx are stupidly fast. NO lol the 2013+ wrx makes like 268hp I mean that quick just not as fast people hype them up to be lol. Rev ups make like 300hp. Non rev ups make (according to Edmunds) 260-280hp. The '04 wrx makes 227. Maybe you just felt the boost kick in and maybe feels faster than the NA g35...

Heh, that's right... everybody in ATOT was obsessed with Subaru WRX's and Infinity G35's back then. It seems that the WRX's held up better, since I still see them on the road all the time.

Personally, I wanted a Jaguar X Type, mostly because they looked classy. I ended up getting an 2003 Audi A4 instead, which was a great car until the warranty ran out and it started falling apart right away. It also had a "fun" stuck accelerator issue that almost killed me.
