MANY of these 50K a year people are probably well over 100K in debt ... not counting their mortgage... if they lose their job or get very sick they are 3 months away from being homeless ...
What I find ridiculous is that when it comes to the law, we are innocent until proven guilty, however, when it comes to credit we are guilty until proven innocent. No credit is just as bad as horrible credit and people get the short end of the stick.
I have a co-worker who is a very religious man. He was even a missionary in Thailand for eight years where he raised a family and then came back to the states. He has literally no credit whatsoever, and just the other day his cost for insurance increased drastically. When he asked what for, they told him it was because of his credit and that their new policy rewarded better credit. Apparently they followed some survey finding that displayed people with good credit filed for less claims, so they used that in their playbook.
Point is, they basically punished the man for never having to borrow money. They punished him for always being able to provide for himself and never owing debt to anyone.
With that ridiculous war that the US is waging, most of our productivity is being wasted on military ... our economy is sound but fragile ....
What's even more ridiculous is this country's dependency on imaginary money and credit. The country is literally trillions of dollars in debt. What does this mean?
Everyone is basically working off of credit. What is my paycheck? We don't even have a trillion people. It's nuts...
and maybe THAT's why people are choosing where to place their [credit] ...
Fixed.
letsee $650 for a single GPU that will need an upgrade within 2 years or a whole gaming system - PS3 or [cheaper] Xbox360 - that will need an upgrade in 5 years
This is of course if the demand for the G80 is indeed low. We're going off the whim of one article.
IMO, PC gaming has always paled in comparison to the kind of sales consoles get. This was happening before the G80.
Not that launching the G80 when the PS3 and Wii debuted was a completely
good idea, it will help them possibly have a more stable/popular card out to battle the R600. Besides, it was time for a new card. That deadline was way overdue.
