Funny how some areas are so different than others. Where I live, FedEx is far superior to UPS. UPS does not deliver to me until 7:00pm at night most of the time... FedEx is there in the morning before I wake up and go to work.

I know it is not the gts and this topic is about the gts. However, I was just stating that there is a good price for the 8800gt. It doesn't seem to me that the over $100 price difference between the 2 cards is justified in performance gain. Just my opinion.

Good, I'm glad thats your opinion, you are definitly entitled to it. However this thread is about the G92 8800GTS being in stock and the subsequent orders for the card. There are all-ready many threads discussing whether or not the card is worth it compared to the 8800GT. Please post this in those threads since you are bound to get better responses and more debate.

True, in the same way that staying with integrated graphics is a much better deal than either because it's free.

LMAO, i almost did that too, thinking when i go to sell the card to fund my next purchase the GTS should hold its value a bit more.
And turning off my pc doesnt help, you still try to keep rationalizing it in your head.
I blame it purely on my pc hardware addiction which often clouds my rational thought.
Doing my best here to wait until i can snag a dual slot cooler for the GT that exhausts the hot air out of the case.

Keys, can we create a seperate forum category where 8800 GT owners can bask in the light of their own glory?
With all due respect, I know many of you are lifers, Platinum members, etc, but this GTS price trashing crap is getting old real damn quick. Every thread someone's started about the GTS, one of you throw your last two cents in about about the great deal you got on the GT.
Yes you have an opinion and yes it's a public forum; but ask yourself, what are you contributing to the topic? It's already been debated. The pros and cons of each card have already been weighed. It's public knowledge you got a good deal. Someone shouldn't in one breath be excited about their GTS, and the next breath have to justify the cost. :|
Munky, I'm not directing this solely at you.

For me it was worth it. I think it all depends on what you paid for your GT to begin with. My EVGA Step-Up cost was $77, plus I was about to go out and get an after-market cooler for my 8800GT anyway which would have costed me at least $37 with shipping. So in my case, the GTS sets me back about $40. So, I'll get slightly faster performance and a dual-slot cooler already attached to the card. My Step-up will expire on 1/31/08 anyway, so I figured what the hell. I'm also hoping the resale value will be better on this card when it comes time to move up the food chain again. That was my rationalization anyway and I almost have myself convinced.
