GA-7DXR and new xp1800+ won't post

I am completely stumped.

I have reset the cmos, set all jumpers and dipswitches to default, and flashed to the most up to date bios (f9).

Yet, it won't post.

Any ideas?

Oh, and the xp1800+ did work in another system, it has an ecs k7s5a in it.

remove and reseat everything especially the memory. try different memory if available.

any beep codes?

nothing on the screen at all?

EDIT: the memory does work.... i'm running my system right now... but with a duron (800) in it

today i will try to disassemble my computer completly and reassemble as if it was "brand new" with the xp1800+... and see what happens
