GA-7VRXP lacks thermal protection????

So I go to newegg.com, VISA balance <$500 and see the GA-7VXRP for $102. RAID and LAN. Seems like good deal. Read review at Tom`s. And they say this:

Note: AMD won't be requiring thermal protection for Athlon CPUs until June 10, so we've not included this new feature here.
The Gigabyte board does not yet have any protection against thermal death. The manufacturer continues to leave out unnecessary OEM interfaces such as ACR, AMR and CNR, which is of no use to the end user anyway. WTF? I thought every board for the past four years or so had a warning temp/shutdown temp in BIOS that you could set. So instead of running right here (and being lazy) I go to AMDs site and find this at recommended mobo list:

Revision 2 of the GA-7VRXP has thermal protection, prior version don't

I have this board and it's a POS. My XP1900+ Prime all day on my cheapie ECS K7S5A but with the GA-7VRXP it locked up. Doesn't a 1/5 divider and when I overclock to let's say 145MHz FSB it always reset to 133FSB on a cold boot. And trust me you won't get no help from Gigabyte. You better bet is to look at the Epox everyone recommends here.

I just built a system using this MB and I really liked it, it is REV 2.0 and have thermal protection in bios. I don't know about prime but I just run seti for the first 3 days straight just to see if it breaks ans day 2 things are still smooth. I'm not overclocking BTW.
