GA-K8NS Pro RAID issues

I just bought this board recently and put my system together last night. My plan was to install Windows XP on a striped RAID partition using the Nvidia SATA RAID. I would get through formatting ok, and it would copy the files to the drive, but when it tried to boot off of that partition to install, it would say that some files were missing. I ended up getting it loaded using a mirrored RAID partition, but that's not really what I want.

Also, I am using the IDE GigaRAID to stripe two Maxtor 120 gig drives. I've got them showing up as a partition in My Computer, however they refuse to format.

Anyone else having any similar problems with this board? Any solutions known?

I DON'T KNOW IF IT HELPS, BUT I HAD TO SLOW THE COMPUTER DOWN TO INSTALL THE OS ON THE NVIDIA SATA HD. DO THEY REFUSE TO FORMAT IN THE GIGARAID UTILITY OR IN THE OS? i THINK I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, IT SEEMS MOST OF THE 250 BOARDS ARE HAVING SOME TYPE OF IDE 3/4 AND SATA PROBLEMS..

What do you mean "slow down" the computer?

Did you get it installed with NVidia RAID striping?

And as for formatting - they refuse to format under Windows XP. I didn't know the GigaRAID utility could format them. I'm not seeing an option right off for that either.

I would appreciate some more detail about both of these problems, since it seems like we had similar problems and you apparently found solutions!
